With over 40 kilometers of the best groomed cross-country ski trails in Eastern Newfoundland in the breathtaking wilderness around White Hills, Clarenville offers fun for the whole family with three back country huts for breaks and lunches or maybe a marshmallow roast for the kids.

The Clarenville Nordic Ski Club has weekly guided tours and instructional clinics to help you fine tune your Nordic skiing techniques. Be sure to take advantage of “night skiing” on the lit trail around "Harry’s Loop" - 3.5 km loop around Dark Hole Pond.

The Huts

The club operates three huts in the area of the White Hills Ski Resort. The headquarters is the Lee Churchill Chalet at the entrance of the Prairie Pond Trail – across from the White Hills parking lot. There are also two others - the Bear Pond Hut at Bear Pond (about 5 km from the start) and the Trollhaugen Hut at Prairie Pond (5 km). We also have a hut at Lindo’s Lookout behind the White Hills.

Day passes and Ski Rentals are available at the White Hills Day Lodge! Day passes are $14.
